Search New InventoryThe Volkswagen Jetta might fit into the compact sedan class, but it's spacious for a small vehicle. For the 2022 model year, the Jetta receives a small makeover. It has some exterior styling updates, new features inside and out, and it has an updated turbo four-cylinder engine. A new Sport model joins the lineup, replacing the R-Line, and the base trim now has more standard features than the previous year's version.

The base Jetta S has 16-inch alloy wheels, power-adjustable and heated side exterior mirrors, LED headlights, and power door locks. The new Sport trim has 17-inch alloy wheels, an XDS electronic locking differential, a sport-tuned suspension, and black trim elements. Choose the SE to add 17-inch alloy wheels to the base trim and get the option for a power sunroof and 17-inch black alloy wheels, or step up to the SEL and you'll get the power sunroof as a standard feature. The GLI stands apart from the rest of the lineup with its aggressive look, 18-inch alloy wheels, and unique accents for the grille and lower bumper. It also comes with bumper cutouts for the dual-exhaust tips.
The 2022 Jetta has an upgraded turbo four-cylinder engine. The 1.5-liter powertrain generates 158 horsepower and gets 184 pound-feet of torque. While an eight-speed automatic transmission comes standard, a six-speed manual is available.
The Jetta's upgrades result in an impressive-looking and driving compact car. The ride stays smooth over most roads, and the steering system responds to input with little effort from the driver. The new Sport model's multi-link rear suspension improves the ride over the lower trims, and choosing the GLI gives you an enhanced driving system with Drive Mode Select. This system allows the driver to choose between Normal, Eco, Sport, and Custom.
There's room for five in the Jetta. The 2022 model has a new cloth upholstery design, and it comes with contrast stitching. The Sport has different cloth upholstery, and it adds a black headliner. Choose the SE for leatherette upholstery, heated front seats, and a power driver's seat, or the SEL to add ventilated front seats and genuine leather upholstery. The GLI continues its sporty look in the cabin with perforated leather covering the sport seats and a flat-bottomed steering wheel. The 2022 Jetta has an updated 8-inch digital gauge cluster for the driver, replacing the analog gauge from the previous model. It comes standard with a Wi-Fi hot spot, VW App-Connect, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, and Bluetooth. The SEL upgrades to an 8-inch touch screen, and it has the MIB3 infotainment system with wireless smartphone charging and integrated navigation, and a BeatsAudio stereo system.
Every 2022 Jetta comes standard with advanced driver aids. These include a low-speed forward-collision warning system, a blind-spot monitor, autonomous braking, rear cross-traffic alert, and a rearview camera. The IQ.Drive Package adds adaptive cruise control, lane-departure warning, enhanced blind-spot detection, and lane-keeping assist. The SE makes the contents of the IQ.Drive system standard and the SEL adds automatic high beam headlights.
